This solid release is a ride through impromptu jazzy rock styles that allow the bass guitar to shine as much as the steady percussion and guitar strumming does. The rhythm throughout Jesus Elephant is comparable to mixing hippie music and Beck, whereas the instruments go off in different directions while smooth-out vocals harmonize to create a cohesive atmosphere of trip-hop and mellow rock sounds. |
