Velcro Stars are Shane Spresser, Keith Pratt, Rebekah Kidd, Danial Norman, and Andy Spore. We live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Our indie pop roots began with Columbia natives Shane and Keith playing guitar and writing songs together after graduating from high school. They were joined in 2001 by Rebekah, whom they had met upon moving to Murfreesboro to attend MTSU. Danial was a high school acquaintance who had moved back into the area after college graduation and joined Velcro Stars as bassist in 2001 as well. After a string of drummers, we were fortunate to find Andy, who began playing with us as drummer in early 2005.

We have been working with Grand Palace Records to release our latest album, Hiroshima's Revenge. Mike Turner from Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records was interested in helping put out the album. With the collaboration of these two great labels, Hiroshima's Revenge was released locally on January 16th, 2007, and can be found at most independent record stores on February 27th.
